Chances are if you're looking to run your business smoothly, at some point questions about putting an advanced phone system in place, have arisen. Such a phone system, better known as PBX, or private branch exchange, interconnects various telephone subscriber lines.
Be it in the office or factory environment, the PBX phone system integrates all telephone lines and is actually the biggest cost-cutting measure any organization can take. Employees utilizing a PBX phone system are able to reach someone within the same system, without needing to use outside lines—that spells efficiency, productivity and cost savings.
Internally, PBX also makes communication less complicated for the office environment by actually decreasing the number of lines needed between groups of users in order to establish a connection. This eliminates the need for any organization to allocate a public telephone line for every user by replacing the traditional phone system with a PBX.
The PBX generally maintains a connection between the central office switch and individual telephone stations. The system’s switching function helps subscribers in an office environment to easily access trunk lines. The phone system then takes care of the call processing element of the call while still including typical and enhanced features like 3-way calling, caller ID, call forwarding and voicemail.
Switchvox offers quality phone systems fully customized to meet business needs. Their PBX solutions include the ability to quickly set up and configure via a web interface, have an unlimited number of extensions, and a host of other tools and features to allow the PBX to transform and ease office communications.
